Types of NHVAS Audits We Offer
✅ Entry Audit (Initial NHVAS Audit)
This is the first audit required before NHVR grants accreditation. It confirms your documented systems for Mass Management, Fatigue (BFM), or Maintenance Management meet the NHVAS Business Rules and Standards.
We assess:
- Policies and procedures
- Training records
- Registers, checklists, and supporting documentation
- Roles and responsibilities
This is the final step before NHVR issues your accreditation approval.
✅ 6-Month Audit (Second Audit)
Six months after initial approval, you must complete a Second Audit to demonstrate that your system is being implemented correctly in daily operations. This audit confirms that your staff are using the systems, records are being maintained, and you’re meeting real-world compliance.
We review:
- Daily driver run sheets or maintenance records
- Fault reports and repair documentation
- Fatigue management logs and run sheets (if applicable)
- Mass declarations and weighbridge dockets (if applicable)
- Completed pre-start checklists and trip documentation
- Internal review and any corrective action reports
- All other supporting documents required to maintain ongoing compliance
This audit ensures your system is functioning in the real world and that your team is following the required processes.
✅ Annual Compliance Audit (Reaccreditation Audit)
This audit is due 18 months after initial approval, and then every 24 months thereafter. It’s a full audit to verify your NHVAS systems are operating effectively and consistently.
We assess:
- Complete documentation and records
- Staff training currency and system use
- Evidence of compliance with all module requirements
- Internal review and continuous improvement process
- Any changes to your fleet or team since last audit
- All other supporting documents required to maintain ongoing compliance
Failure to complete this audit will result in NHVR suspending your accreditation.
