Service Modules

Mass Management

Mass Management accreditation encourages operators to take responsibility for correctly loading their trucks and ensuring they are not overloaded. This accreditation helps businesses improve operational efficiency, reduce penalties for mass breaches, and enhance road safety. By implementing clear procedures for loading and monitoring vehicle weights, operators can minimize the risk of overloading and ensure compliance with legal mass limits.

Increased allowable vehicle mass — Accredited vehicles can carry extra weight compared to standard mass limits. This provides access to both Concessional Mass Limits (CML) and Higher Mass Limits (HML), allowing for greater operational capacity and efficiency.

Key Benefits to Operators:

Fatigue Management

Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) accreditation provides operators with greater flexibility while ensuring driver safety through regulated work and rest hours. By effectively managing driver fatigue, businesses can improve safety, reduce accidents, and increase operational efficiency.

Types of Audits

Initial Compliance Audits

These audits are conducted to certify that your management system meets NHVAS standards before accreditation is granted. It is crucial to have your system ready for this audit to ensure you can obtain your accreditation without delays.

Six-Month Audits

For new accreditation holders, a follow-up audit is required between the 6th and 7th month after the initial accreditation to review your system’s compliance. This audit is critical to prevent the suspension of your accreditation and to confirm that your management practices align with NHVAS standards. It is recommended to book this audit as soon as the NHVR accreditation approval letter is received to avoid any delays.

Compliance Audits

For operators holding existing accreditations, it is your responsibility to book in and complete a compliance audit and submit an NHVAS Audit Summary Report no earlier than six months and no later than one month before your accreditation period expires. This audit ensures that your management system remains compliant, and passing it is necessary to renew your accreditation.
